What is the Fill Rate?
The Fill Rate measures the percentage of demand that can be dispatched. It is calculated as (Dispatched Units/Requested Units) × 100. A 95% fill rate means you're turning 95 out of every 100 units ordered.
What's the difference between Fill Rate and Order Fill Rate?
The Fill Rate measures units (weighted by volume). The Order Fill Rate measures whether each order line was 100% fulfilled (yes/no). It's stricter because a line with 99% compliance counts as incomplete.
What is a good Fill Rate?
Best-in-class is > 97%. The industry average is between 90-95%. Below 85% are considered problematic and require immediate action.
